Those just beginning life can encounter obstacles from their very first days and years — especially where healthcare and social services are weakest.
That’s why, in 2011, we decided to build a real pediatric hospital in the Horn of Africa, and we’ve continued to support it ever since. That’s why we added mobile clinics, to reach those who lack the strength or resources to get to a hospital. That’s why we care for abused and abandoned girls, and for street children left behind by families living in deep poverty.
We do this in Somaliland, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Rwanda, and Thailand — that other world we still know far too little about.
